Suzuki Violin Program at Prince of Peace
In the 2020-2021 School Year…
Students in the violin program were pulled out of class 1 day per week for a 60-minute violin class. Students need to make up the work from the class from which they were pulled out.
Tuition for the the Suzuki Violin Program in the 2020-2021 School Year was $135 ($15/class, 9 classes for the semester)
Last school year, violins were rented for children from Baroque Violin Shop. Each student was fitted for an instrument at the shop to make sure that it was the right size. https://www.baroqueviolinshop.com
● The program is open to all grades and ages.
● Classes will last approximately 60 minutes and will have a maximum of 5 students per class.
● The classes will take place during school hours and will be incorporated into the school day.
Learning the violin is really fun! Students in the Suzuki program will learn the foundations of playing the violin and will have learned the Twinkle Theme and Twinkle Variations by the end of the school year. In developing this program, we hope to instill a love of music and beauty in the students and to help them cultivate virtues such as responsibility and perseverance, which will carry over into their daily lives. Students will also learn how to manage their time, memorize, and create goals and stick to them.
