November embraces some deep moments of reflection. On All Souls Day, November 2 we remembered in a special way all who have died and have gone before us to eternal life … our friends, family members, relatives. November 11 was Veterans Day and on this day we remember all our armed forces, those who are in active duty now fighting for and protecting our freedom, those who have died in the line of duty and all those who for hundreds of years have fought to protect our country and its citizens. Toward the end of November we enter the season of Thanksgiving. We remember in a special way all the blessings God has bestowed on us … our life, our family and friends, the air we breathe, our faith and so many other blessings too numerous to count.Albert Schweitzer once said: “At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” May we remember this November all those both living and dead who have lighted the flame within us. My heart is filled with much gratitude for all the gifts that each of you share with us at Prince of Peace School. May you and your loved ones be truly blessed!
Lovingly, |
