Dear First Graders!
You are the lucky grade that gets to make food for our Australian Feast for the end of the year. You will choose one dish that is eaten in
Australia to prepare for the class and share it with everyone at our Feast.
Project:
1. Design a placemat.
2. Your placemat should include the following:
a. 1 main dish
b. 3 side dishes
c. 1 dessert
d. 1 drink
e. Anything else you choose to put on!
3. Create the placemat so that it is large enough to display to the class.
4. Prepare a presentation to explain your placemat and tell what you learned about
Australian foods.
5. Choose one recipe that you would like to make for the class.
6. Have a parent e-mail the recipe to Ms. DeLay at
